Most successful privately-owned companies in Wisconsin recognized

APPLETON, WI — November 30, 2020 — Every year, Deloitte celebrates 75 of the largest and most successful private companies, the Wisconsin 75, for the impact they make towards growth and innovation in Wisconsin. For the second year in a row, U.S. Venture, Inc. has been named in the top five for Deloitte’s 2020 Wisconsin 75 Award. The ranking is determined by revenue, as well as employee engagement and corporate giving.

“Being part of this distinguished list is a testament to our commitment of finding a better way and our dedication to our communities far and wide.” says John Schmidt, president and CEO of U.S. Venture. “We are thrilled to be recognized alongside Wisconsin’s top privately held companies.”

U.S. Venture is headquartered in Appleton, Wisconsin and its business divisions include U.S. Oil, U.S. AutoForce®, U.S. Gain, U.S. Lubricants, Breakthrough, and IGEN.

While U.S. Venture is an engine for growth and innovation in Wisconsin, its commitment to supporting and strengthening its communities is steadfast. In its 35th year, the 2020 U.S. Venture Open, the nation’s single largest one-day charity event, raised $4,642,058 to end poverty in Northeast Wisconsin. Along with the $5 million of additional available funds announced in June, more than $10 million was made available to nonprofits to end poverty in the region.

Beyond borders, U.S. Venture and the U.S. Venture/Schmidt Family Foundation partners with the Victory Community Development Center (VICODEC) to provide education, nutrition, and medical care for students in the slums of Kenya. Their support helps nearly 200 children who are sponsored at the VICODEC school by team members, friends and family, provides nutrition programs for 3,800 VICODEC students and surrounding remote areas, and provides medical support to 4,500 at the VICODEC hospital and in outreach areas. U.S. Venture also facilitates sponsorships for 102 students in secondary schools who have graduated from VICODEC.
