U.S. Venture hires Mian as Vice President of Sustainability
Appleton, Wisconsin, August 11, 2020– U.S. Venture, Inc. proudly announces the addition of Iqbal Mian, Vice President of Sustainability, as the company marches toward a reduction in their environmental impact. In his new role, Mian will be responsible for expanding the sustainability strategies, goals and initiatives for U.S. Venture by identifying new opportunities and expanding upon existing efforts.

Prior to joining U.S. Gain, Mian led sustainability efforts for several Wisconsin-based healthcare organizations including Affinity Health System, Ministry Health Care and Ascension. He helped St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, WI achieve ISO 14001 certification (environmental management system), one of the nation’s first to carry that distinction in the industry. His healthcare expertise expanded at Health Care Without Harm where he facilitated the Great Lakes Cohort bringing together 15 major organizations such as Cleveland Clinic and the Mayo Clinic in the region to align best practices in energy efficiency and water conservation to address climate resilience. Mian has conducted over 50 formal environmental improvement events.

We’ve assembled a talented group of cross-functional team members and are currently diving deep in establishing a sustainability baseline in order to understand our environmental impact,” shared Mian. “This first major step echoes our sense of responsibility as we prepare for formal sustainability goals. Mian has a Master of Science in Sustainable Management from the University of Wisconsin Madison. His education expands from a Bachelor of Business Administration in Supply Chain & Operations Management from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. Moreover, he earned a Building Operator Certification, is certified in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, is a trained Lean Facilitator and ISO 14001 internal auditor and is versed in energy benchmarking.
