Second GAIN® station to be built in partnership with Dart

06-Dec-2013

Appleton, WI – U.S. Oil, a division of U.S. Venture Inc., has partnered with Dart Transit Company to build a second GAIN® Compressed Natural Gas station for the trucking company. The new GAIN® station will be located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The station will not only provide compressed natural gas (CNG) to Dart’s fleet but will be available for use by other trucking companies and the general public..

“We’ve developed a great relationship with Dart on the first GAIN® station built for the company in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota,” said GAIN’s General Manager Bill Renz. “This new station will continue to broaden Dart’s ability to use its CNG fleet to haul long distances. It also fits perfectly into U.S. Oil’s goal of building a network of GAIN® stations throughout the United States.”

With the addition of the Fort Wayne location, U.S. Oil will have 13 GAIN® stations located throughout the Midwest. “There is a growing trend in the trucking industry to convert from using diesel fuel to the more economical and environmentally friendlier CNG alternative,” Renz explained. “Our goal is to help those companies by partnering with them to build GAIN® stations in locations that make sense for their hauling routes.”

Dart Transit is the 14th largest truckload carrier in the U.S. The family owned and operated business is ranked third among U.S. intermodal asset based carriers. Based in Eagan, Minnesota, the company also has operating centers in Dallas, Texas and Sellersburg, Indiana as well as regional centers throughout the country.
