GAIN Clean Fuel partners with FastFlow CNG to meet C.A.T.'s international CNG fueling needs
Laredo, TX – July 11, 2016 – GAIN® Clean Fuel, a brand of U.S. Gain, is continuing their partnership with FastFlow CNG, a division of Independence Fuel Systems (IFS) to build and manage another GAIN Clean Fuel and FastFlow CNG co-branded Compressed Natural Gas station in Southern Texas. The station, located at 15668 N US Highway 83, Laredo, TX will meet the CNG fueling needs of C.A.T. Inc, to provide the North American carrier and other trucking fleets with an alternative fuel to support the growing number of CNG trucks. This GAIN Clean Fuel/FastFlow CNG station is scheduled to be open September, 2016.
“This site will complete the network of CNG stations we need to fuel CNG trucks on our routes,” said C.A.T. Inc. President Daniel Goyette. “We have successfully added CNG to our fleet over the past year and have seen substantial savings in emissions. As a carrier, we’re proud to do our part to ensure pollution from the trucking industry is minimized so we can leave the planet in a better place for the next generation.”
Nearly a third of C.A.T.’s fleet of 350 tractors have been converted to CNG. This station, along with four additional GAIN Clean Fuel stations opened last year in Toronto, Ontario; Coteau-du-Lac, Montreal; Charlotte, North Carolina and Scranton, Pennsylvania, as part of the partnership, will be combined with the existing GAIN Clean Fuel North American network to provide C.A.T. access to a reliable and quality source of CNG.
“C.A.T. is an industry leader; to make this significant commitment to change its business model for CNG is admirable,” said GAIN Clean Fuel General Manager Bill Renz. “C.A.T.’s commitment to improve sustainability for the trucking industry is evident in their approach to convert 100 trucks at once.”
FastFlow CNG is partnering with GAIN Clean Fuel to make this location a reality. Their expertise and stellar reputation in the Texas market make Fast Fuel CNG an ideal partner. GAIN Clean Fuel prides themselves on fast fueling stations for their customers. With FastFlow CNG’s commitment to the same, this partnership will provide fleets a quality, fast filling CNG choice on this well-traveled lane connecting the United States to Mexico.
“We’re excited about the opportunity to partner with GAIN Clean Fuel to provide C.A.T. a site that will close the loop on their CNG fueling needs,” said IFS Marketing Director Matt Russell. “FastFlow CNG has served this region to help build America’s energy independence by providing high quality CNG stations and we look forward to the additional opportunities that come with partnering with GAIN Clean Fuel to be part of a recognized nation-wide CNG network. Together we can continue to encourage carriers to convert to CNG.”
