    As the demand for RNG as an alternative fuel continues to climb, the tenured team at U.S. Gain has learned how to streamline production while also finding the most efficient solutions unique to each development project.

    In fact, after only eight months, the digester at Dallmann East River Dairy in Brillion, Wisconsin started converting animal waste to clean, low carbon fuel for the transportation market. Typically, projects like these take 12 to 18 months to bring online. Gas collected at the facility is taken through a complex processing system that results in RNG comprised of 99.5% methane.

    A key asset to U.S. Gain throughout the project was Nacelle Solutions, a leader in developing gas clean-up equipment specifically designed for the RNG industry. Having an experienced partner to rely on allowed the project to move quickly and safely. RNG produced at Dallmann is transported to U.S. Gain’s new decant facility, then injected into the pipeline and transmitted to organizations throughout the nation seeking low carbon solutions to satisfy their sustainability targets. Moving forward, U.S. Gain looks forward to the next phase of this project and pioneering solutions to maximize gas output while creating additional process efficiencies.

    As part of its ongoing commitment to sustainable logistics and reducing carbon emissions, Anheuser-Busch has committed to transitioning more than 180 trucks (30% of its dedicated fleet) – to Renewable Natural Gas (RNG).

    The two fleets are expected to travel more than 8.5 million miles each year. By transitioning the trucks within these fleets to RNG provided by American Natural Gas and U.S. Gain, the brewer expects to reduce its emissions by more than 70% compared to conventional diesel – the equivalent of taking more than 66 thousand passenger cars off the road or planting more than 8 million new trees.

    Implementing sustainable technology in its fleet has been a key focus for Anheuser-Busch since the launch of its sustainability goals in 2018. Through partnerships with cutting-edge manufacturers as well as digital freight providers, the brewer plans to convert its entire long-haul dedicated fleet to renewable energy-powered trucks by 2025 and harness data and analytics to reduce empty miles within its routes.
