U.S. Oil Terminal Safety Recognition Award

U.S. Oil, a division of U.S. Venture, Inc has achieved and will be presented the ILTA Safety Excellence Award for 2010 safety performance. The International Liquid Terminal Association (ILTA) Terminal Safety program collects safety performance data and management programs from the terminal industry. ILTA represents 81 companies and partnerships that operate bulk liquid storage terminals in 47 countries. These facilities are located in ports and along rivers, canals and pipelines. They serve the vital economic purpose of transferring liquid products from one transportation mode to another. Products handled by ILTA members include crude oil, petroleum products and a wide variety of chemicals, as well as ethanol, biodiesel, vegetable oils, molasses and fertilizers.

The ILTA’s Annual Safety Recognition Program identifies and celebrates companies that have demonstrated an exemplary commitment to protecting their employees from injury and illness, and promoting employee safety and health. It reviews best practices, safety results, programs, policies and management efforts to create a safe and healthful workplace. The U.S. Oil terminals achieved zero OSHA recordable injuries /illnesses in all terminal operations for 2010. Recognition occurs during ILTA’s Annual International Operating Conference on June 7, 2011 in Houston, Texas. Mark Waggoner, Director of Terminal Operations, will accept the 2010 Safety Excellence Award on behalf of the 12 U.S. Oil Terminals we operate and corporate divisional operations that were included in the program evaluation. ​
