The Schmidt Family G4 Fund is an educational initiative designed to involve fourth generation shareholders of U.S. Venture, Inc. in the life of the business, the community, the foundation, and the owning family. Members of this generation participate in this educational giving group which ultimately makes grants to non-profit organizations within the Fox Valley region under the guidance of the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region and the third generation of the Schmidt family.
The G4 Fund strives to improve the quality of life of those most in need in the Fox Valley, seeking to address immediate needs and to affect meaningful change in the following areas:
- At-risk youth, especially those with a physical or mental illness, those who have experienced abuse, or those who have significant financial need.
- Adult self-sufficiency, with a priority on issues that affect the stability and independence of women, as well as literacy, job skills training, and transitional living for all.
